Very possibly the worst company in the world. Would give negative stars if it was a option. Customer service rating is -100 even after submitting death certificates they still wouldn't talk to me and insisted on only talking to the dead if your loan gets sold to them I would recommend trying everything and anything to get it away from them and if starting from scratch definitely avoid at all costs

Awful loan servicer. They answer my calls but tell me there is nothing they can do. They did not pay the taxes for the property and I found out when a policemen came to the door to deliver the delinquent bill. I immediately called SPS and they put in an issue request and say they will get back to me in 10 business days... worst part about it is I have called them every 4 days to escalate the issue so my property does not get listed for tax sale. It has been 26 days as of writing this view 5 calls later and still, they haven't paid the taxes and it is "in review". This is truly insane and horrendous.

The absolute worst mortgage company. I was mailed an overage check last year and when I called to ensure the escrow account had sufficient funds, they advised with confidence, the account had sufficient funds. Fast track a year later, my mortgage rate increased by $998. When I called, they said my escrow account is negative. This is the second time I’ve had the mortgage payment increase. This company does not possess the ability to properly handle mortgages of any scale. Never in my existence have I had a mortgage fluctuate to such extreme much leas fluctuate at all. DO NOT use this company under any circumstances. TERRIBLE. I've dealt with some bad mortgage companies in the past, but these guys take the cake. Then again, Mortgage companies are like Internet Service Providers, are there really any good ones? In the most recent of shenanigans with SPS, they sent me a letter stating they found they had made an error in my modification agreement. They admitted they had been charging me the "incorrect interest rate" for 12 months, TWELVE months, and then they have the nerve to put a 2-week deadline on the paperwork for me to sign to have this corrected or it would remain as is for the life of the loan. I'm in the military, I'm gone for weeks, if not months, at a time. By the time I come home and sort through my mail, the deadline has already passed. On March 29, 2023 I sent in $37, 059.23 to Select Portfolio Servicing to be applied towards my monthly payments which would have covered a total of 12 months, since I already had a partial credit on my account. That means my next monthly payment would have been due on April 1, 2024. Since then I have had nothing but trouble.  It began with a phone call from SPS Mortgage saying I was past due on my account for the May 1, 2023 payment. I let the representative know that the large payment was to be applied to my monthly payments,  representative said okay and she would take care of it. Over the next several months I had several phone calls and letters saying I was past due.
