Sedona Hill Apartments

If I could give negative stars, I would. Management is a joke. Kids in the parking lot throw rocks at cars and the office has been notified. NOTHING happens. There are crowds that gather in the parking lot, smoking marijuana and playing loud music. You walk into the building and you get overwhelmed with the smell of marijuana. Have some respect for your residents and put your foot down on these people. Most don't say anything due to fear of retaliation from management. The balconies were to be under renovation and have just been left fenced off since last summer. Safety concerns in the laundry rooms also. The electrical boxes for the entire building are in the laundry rooms, that are NOT secured. Kids go in there all of the time and shut off peoples power. There is no security, just fake c

I only lived there one year. While it has a nice floor plan and the concrete walls really help keep the noise out my building had kids playing in the halls and outside in the parking lot all the time making all kinds of noise that you could hear through the front door. There is virtually no guest parking and barely any parking for yourself. I was given less than 12 hours notice for showing my apartment. I have been out of there for 2 months now and haven't seen any security deposit check with no explanation. A month ago when asked she said they should have been mailed.

They also manage Colonial Apartments on Glenwood Avenue in Golden valley. When we moved in, they did a horrible job of preparing the apartment for us. They got paint all over the dining room floor while repainting. The stove was so old, it no longer worked. The fridge was old and had broken parts inside that they later tried to just poorly glue back together. We had to push for them to replace both. The cabinets were covered in a layer of what I assume is cooking oil splatter. I spent a long time scrubbing it clean. They never addressed concerns we had about missing packages (a huge $400 package went missing which was a stroller for our child) or major noise concerns (middle of the night car alarms that woke everyone in the complex up and required police to be called). Just moved after many years living at Sedona Hills. Started out as a decent complex and severely declined. The office manager Melissa and the maintenance staff are great! I believe their hands are tied by the owner. The only amenity was the pool and a few years ago the owner decided she didn't want to pay to open it anymore. There's a wall on the side if the garages that looks like it is going to fall down at any moment. The water problems are INSANE! My apt had to be jackhammered to get to the pipes twice! These apt pipes weren't built for dishwashers and washers we have today. The garbage around the complex is awful. If you work nights you can forget about finding a parking spot when you get home. I recently moved out of a two bedroom in Sedona Hills Apartments. Apartment manager Melissa is the best and the most helpful manager i have ever dealt with. Maintenance is on point. The apartment was old and not the best but I would not expect more for the price. Giving a five star for their service.
