0/10 would not recommend renting with this company. I have rented with many companies (both homes and apartments) and this is by far the worst one. Seeing how they respond to these other reviews after dealing with them also goes to show how their customer service is. 1. When we moved in, the place was trashed. I will share photos below . There was piss on every toilet seat, dirt on the countertops, bugs in the house, abd nothing was professionally cleaned. I was shocked at how gross it was and when then we couldn’t move in for two weeks because that’s how long it took them to come and clean it. I rented properties from Scott Properties of the Midlands from July 2020 until July 2022. My experience with this company was an utter joke. I would NOT recommend renting any property that involves this company. The most egregious item I have share is how they were consistent at taking roughly 30 percent of my security deposit money, claiming that there were "move-in ready" costs assessed against me. I considered the first time it occurred (in July 2021) as a lesson learned, thinking that maybe, just maybe, I may have been slack on an item or two upon moving out. But when it occurred a second time, I realized that Scott Properties of the Midlands was running game against me. I refuse to be silent about it. 2nd update/response to company response: I never stated there was an issue with payment. Payout was always on time. Inspection reports were always reviewed and I just looked at them for about the 5th time. There is no mention of any holes in corners in any reports dating back to 2016. In fact Scott Properties admitted to me via email that their inspector doesn't look for these types damages. There also isn't a report for 12/3/18. There is on from 12/31/18 (I will assume the date in the response below was a typo) that makes mention of a rotted eve that was repaired. No inspection ever addressed the holes in the corners or the trim damage over the stairs. They inform us of all the decisions they make regarding the properties and I feel they have our best interest at heart.
