I hired Cindy Bannon to find a tenant for my rental property and she charged me a full month’s rent as her commission. To my knowledge she failed to perform even the most basic tenant screening—no background check, no employment verification, no Social Security or banking information. Because of her negligence, I ended up with a tenant who caused serious problems and had to be evicted, costing me time and money. When I contacted her to request the tenant documentation and express my concerns, she responded with insults—calling me “ignorant” and telling me to “lose her number and never contact her again.” This behavior is very unprofessional and unacceptable from a licensed agent. I will be filing formal complaints with the real estate licensing board.
