Lived at there University Blvd apartments for 5 years. For the price when I moved in it was pretty good. But it was the bare minimum there was no dishwasher in the unit and the share laundry was pretty crappy but it was 995 when I moved in. But then the place just started falling apart. Chunks of concrete would fall off the 2 floor hallways all the time. They didn’t give me a new lease for a year and then gave me a notice of 30 days that my rent would be increasing by 350 dollars(mine you the 30 day notice was illegal because I didn’t have a lease so by state law I was a month to month tenant which you are required to give a 60 notice of any increase. We lived in a rental managed by Rush in Washington Park for c. 18 months. Rush was the most responsive and proactive property manager we have ever had (and we have had quite a few different rentals over the years prior to that one). Any situation we had with the house was immediately resolved, and the manager was available at all hours and quickly responsive, and we were never made to feel like a burden. When we ultimately left (we bought a house so did not move to another rental), Michelle Rush was extremely helpful throughout the process and we received a full deposit refund without any trouble. I stayed in a rental by Rush Realty for the last year. I had a great experience and want to write an honest review in support of this company. They do feel like a 'mom and pop' shop when you interact with them - in the sense that they don't always have a veneer to their office or emails that once can come to expect from franchises. During the busy season - July, August, they are going to be a little slower about getting back to an email. However, when it counts, they simply hit it out of the park as a rental agency. They were professional in collecting documentation, and diligent about returning the security deposit (which we got all back minus the voluntary cleaning service that we elected for). We have been working with Michelle and Rush Reality for over 7 years now. She consistently finds top-notch renters and takes great care of our circa 1900 West Wash Park home. Great communication skills and fair prices as well. We couldn’t be happier!!

I’ve never rented through a more personable and positive tenant advocate than Rush Realty. Michelle is great and you can tell that she genuinely cares about her business and her tenants as well as the property owners. All around, they foster a very neighborly environment that seems rare in today’s urban world.
