Rockwell Commons

This lovely little motel is off the beaten track of 20 in the town of Rockwell City, IA. I’ve had the pleasure of staying here before when it was just the nicest old man running it. It has since had many updates! New paint on the outside and inside, new floors, new beds, new tvs, and there is a mini fridge&microwave! The a/c is a small window unit above the bed and the heater is on the wall by the front door. Overall It’s very small and quaint but just enough space for my husband and I needing a room for the night. The shower a was small standup and the doorways were a little too short for my 6’5” tall husband but overall it was fantastic. You book online and almost immediately get a message with your room number and code to enter so everything is contactless but you are given a number to

Needed a room for the night. Found the room very comfortable, very clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable, extra pillows. I love staying in old-fashioned motels. And Green Acre fits the bill. Guests can drive up right to the door. The rooms are non-smoking, but there are ashtrays and benches outside each room. My only criticism is that wi-fi service can be hit-or-miss, but nor a big deal. I would stay here again!!!

Nice option for a quick stay. Online check in was simple but the room picture does not match the room you rent. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. My only complaint was that the bathroom could have used a little more attention. You must try the Mexican restaurant across the street, it's fantastic.

Appears to be an older one story motel that these people have done a fantastic job with. It’s easy to use, very clean, and the use of space Is superb. This is a very well run small business.

We had a really great experience. The rooms were clear and neet. The housekeeper was really friendly and made sure we had everything we need. I would recommend staying there! Maryellen Marcoux
