Rivertown Commons Apartments

Update: This original post was from about 4 years ago. A new company is now running the complex. They are busy renovating most of the building . It is NOT great living here while all the chaos is going on. The ONE good thing they are doing is having a long-awaited second elevator put in for our 7-story, 96-unit building! Unlike many other reviewers, I actually LIVE here in Rivertown Commons, Stillwater- MOST of the older reviews that are bad are coming from Rivertown Commons in St.Paul! And a huge majority of residents that have lived here a long time have always felt a part of a community- and wanted to live out the rest of their lives at Rivertown Commons in Stillwater. That has all changed in the last year. Nearly EVERYBODY wants OUT. A lot of people LEFT already. Now, the waiting lists

One elevator that continually breaks in a seven story building. Poorly maintained. Office hours are minimal and sporadic. Seven or eight washers for 90+ units. Common areas of building are not cleaned as it should be. There is much room for improvement. It never should have gotten this bad.

I have lived here just over two years and feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to do so. Management does an extraordinary job of handling issues that have arisen here, especially during COVID-19. Just love the job done with getting the windows cleaned this week.

My husband and I just saw these apartments. I was completely disappointed. The place was not clean. This is not the place you want to live if you are disabled. Halls so long they had to get me a wheel chair to even get to the apartments they wanted to show me. One laundry room for 97 apartments! ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING. Parking on the street is only option. In Stillwater that's not going to work. We thought we had no option as the rent is just what we could afford. But, when I found out that the waiting list could be 8 months to 2 years, we decided to look elsewhere. Besides all that the current manager, and two maintenance men are all leaving at the same time! Something isn't right there.

This place is going down hill fast. Maintenance is non existent and its terrible. They charge tenets fees for repairs that are not their fault. Tennents have accidents in the halls and its not cleaned up. The stairs do not have emergency lights causing a falling issue. There are bees in the place and nothing is being done about it. The manager is rude, disrespectful, and yells at tennents. Do not live there!!!
