River Place West

Worse than horrible housing, even worse management. The management WILL gaslight you about any issues. They discriminate based on your race especially. Please be mindful of this housing. There’s no way to report complaints since the building managers work directly under the company that owns this property. Note: it’s cheap because it’s infested with roaches and rats. That’s manageable, but the discrimination and harassment from the building managers is to be aware of

Despite the fact that the front desk is hardly ever open - even when it is open, there is no one ever at the front desk. Get accustomed to having to check 3-4 times to pick up an Amazon package. I have even waited there in the morning, forcing me to arrive late to work (because the front desk doesn’t open until 9:00), just to get a package, and no one showed up by 9:15 and I had to leave. Also, the sauna is always cold and never kept on. Lots of complaints, and lots of good things about this place, but mostly complaints.

A decent place in an unbeatable location. I think the experience is highly related to your landlord. River Place West has separate climate controls in the rooms (unlike other River Place buildings). The staff was nice to me. I love the little coffee shop on the premises and it is nice to have a convenient store there too. Overall, I never had any problems and enjoyed living here.

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn future tenants. My time at this apartment was deeply disappointing, mainly due to the unprofessional and unhelpful general manager. Communication was lacking, requests were ignored, and any concerns brought up were met with indifference or outright rudeness. It was clear that resident satisfaction was not a priority. That said, the concierge ladies were the only bright spot during my stay. They were always kind, welcoming, and willing to help in any way they could. It’s a shame their efforts are completely overshadowed by the poor leadership in management.

I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and have had a great experience. Lived on 5th floor, have not dealt with pests or anything. It does get hot in the summertime since the AC doesn’t go below 70.
