I was very unpleased with my stay here. Signing a year lease here was one of the worst decisions I could’ve ever made. The staff makes you feel welcome at first and as soon as you sign the lease it’s like you are no longer a priority to them and your problems are not their concern. The front office people Jed & Danielle are never there at the office like they should be and all I ever seen was the maintenance guys going in and out. The amount of problems that came with living here was not even worth paying the $1,000 rent. Going in, they showed us a model that had nothing wrong with it and told us that we would have an apartment just like it and also told us that we would also be provided with a washer and dryer that would be included in rent which persuaded us to sign the lease. I have been a resident here at River Oaks going on 2yrs but I assure you this will be my last—-this apartment has a big roach infestation since I moved here—I’ve had to go to the office constantly to be put on pest control list for them to come spray (which doesn’t help)?! The tenants smoking weed on their patios like it’s nothing, the neighbors don’t respect your peace & quiet —I’ve came home to pics/decor almost of the wall due to upstairs neighbors kids running jumping around, the pets/animals poop & urinate everywhere, the drainage system is always having issues & water shut-offs constantly, & not to mention we just got charged a fee all because my daughter left two small bags of trash outside the door (since it was extremely cold outside 1st time ever) which she had planned on taking
Past resident — please read before moving in. My boyfriend and I lived in this complex for a year, and overall, it was just okay at first. One ongoing issue was the water: about twice a week, the water would be shut off for “emergencies.” Sometimes residents were notified, other times they weren’t. We also occasionally had drainage issues with the kitchen sink, but these were our only major complaints during the first year. Things changed when we decided to transfer to a larger unit. At first, management was helpful with the transfer process. However, after I paid the deposit and several days’ rent for the new apartment, I received a call informing me there had been a roach issue. I was assured the problem had been handled by pest control and that new appliances were being installed. W
APT REVIEW At first sight, it was an amazing place to live. We finished our 1 year lease recently, NOT renewing. We had multiple roaches (coming out of an air vent, under the bathroom baseboards, from kitchen sink). We are clean people!! There’s no reason for the bugs to come visit. They send emails about management coming to change air vents, spray for pests, etc, but nobody ever comes. Water gets shut off at least 3x a month with little to no warning (we probably only got notified 1/2 the times that the water was shut off). In January, we had no hot water for a week (shut off jan 7-14, water shut off again jan 30th, email proof will be attached). Rent goes up every month even though we can’t hardly drink the water (the water runs WHITE) and nothing gets improved around here. They do the
I’m extremely disappointed with the overall service and response time. I reported my dishwasher problem for more than a month, sent multiple emails and reminders, yet no one came to fix it. As a result, the dishwasher overflowed and flooded my kitchen — a completely preventable situation if maintenance had responded earlier. The electrical outlets in the kitchen and dining room were also out of service for a week before they were finally repaired, and the plumbing issues I had were eventually resolved but only after long delays. In addition, the exterior door between the apartments is completely burned out, and the building’s exterior light has been blinking for over a month. No one has shown up to assess or fix these issues despite multiple reports. Although some problems were eventual
