We have lived at Richmond square for about two years, most of the experience has been decent.. construction here and there to the courtyard and lobby which was to be expected as we were warned when moving in… but the construction never stopped. They are now renovating empty units which has completely ruined the quality of life in your own home from 8am-4pm. Not only that, but the lease renewal I was offered had an increase of $100, which seems like a slap in the face. Grand total of $2,420, (for a non-renovated one bedroom) to be woken up each morning by drilling and jack hammers. Sadly for my neighbors, I will be moving out in September and the construction cycle will continue for this unit presumably. So if you’re planning to move in , honestly just don’t. If you work a regular Monday-F
I would not recommend moving here, especially if you work from home. They are renovating the apartment complex for the next 3 years, which means there will be extremely loud drilling and construction every Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm for the next three years. Also, aside from the renovations, there have been other construction projects during all hours of the day, even extremely early in the morning since I have moved in here. My walls have vibrated for hours because of loud drilling and the staff is extremely unhelpful and not sympathetic.
I lived here for about 2 years and it was a great experience. Maintenance always showed up ASAP. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Leasing office / management was also quite responsive and accommodating. Nice amenities (only apartment gym I've seen in the area with a real squat rack, skee ball, sim golf, automated package room, free printing, etc). Right across the street from the Ballston metro, very convenient.
I have lived at the richmond square apartments for the last 4 years and it was a great building up until a year ago when the constant construction and new direction to make this a "luxury building" has resulted in a decreased living experience. The cost cutting by the building has impacted individual heating/cooling units and they are no longer controlled by the resident but rather the building causing huge swings dictated on when the building turns on and off their cooling units regardless of the temperature outside. Finally, this building claims to be not pet friendly but the amount of animals/barking and even BIRDS living in apartments has been shocking, again if there is a change in any of the above policies the building should be communicating this to residents.
I lived in Richmond square for 3 years, on the 13th floor in a one-bedroom apartment. The apartment is located in a really really great location. The Ballston metro is right around the corner, and I bet some floor plans could see the metro from their balcony. Its also in a really walkable location to the Quarter, and other food/drinking spots in the Arlington corridor. I had a bicycle which I frequently rode into DC and rode around the monuments. There are plenty of trails closeby which I rode on, and saw others walking on. Really nice. I had no issues with maintenance. In the 3 years I lived there, I think I only called maintenance once or twice, and they came basically the next day. very prompt. They also seasonally changed or cleaned the hvac filter inside the apartment I also thankf
