Description of Complaint: We purchased a home from Richmond American in November 2019. From the date of final walk through, we noted the transitions between the carpet and tile were too large and not installed correctly. Richmond tried to cover up the problem by kicking the carpet and not addressing the real issue of the transition. Since then we have pleaded and tried to have Richmond make it right but they continue to pass the buck and not take ownership of the problem. Now I have a 1 year old who crawls and gets hurt and other children who walk on the tack strips because there is little to no carpet left. No one from Richmond will talk to us and the contractor will not speak to us either. No one wants to fix the issue that was brought up day 1 and now people are getting hurt.
