UPDATED JAN 2026: I was going to bump up my review to 2 stars because maintenance team has been quick, we have new carpet and paint in hallways, and I’ve seen security on site (although not sure what all they do). However, these are the issues we’re (still) facing in the community: 1. We recently received a utility bill of OVER double what we normally pay, for “water and trash adjustments.” I’ve contacted management, but they just defer me to the utility company. I’ve received no answers from either side. 2. There’s still issues with packages left out in the open. Multiple packages have been opened and stolen. 3. Garage door has been broken for weeks, and open to the public! Homeless still walking on property and hanging out in stairwells. 4. Minor, but sad: We USED to have holiday/communi

If I could give zero stars, I would. Ever since Essex took over it has been a nightmare. I’ve never seen such insanely expensive utilities in my life and the management team is not responsive. They don’t care about residents and prepare to pay WAYYY more than expected. You will lose packages, no team sits in person like with the last company that owned Revere. I feel super unsafe sometimes here. I moved in less than a year ago and there are frequent break ins that occur ALL the time. My friend’s car was even broken into inside the garage. Not transparent and the only positive is that the maintenance people are pretty nice. Overall HORRIBLE. Miss the old management that I dealt with while moving in before Essex took over. There are many better options out there.

1 November 2025 Things have improved since the last update on 1 June 2025. Many tenants have left and there has been an effort by Essex Management to make amends. The trash overflow has been solved by quietly raising the monthly trash removal service charge to $100. The landscaping has improved but the dead tree at the front door has been removed and now the large planter sits empty, The building public spaces are currently being painted with the hall carpeting scheduled to be replaced. Overall the appearance and quality is returning to Revere, but sadly there is really zero management present on site so if you expect a real time solution to an issue or problem....you are expecting too much. 1 June 2025 This is a tough review for me because I have been a tenant here under the prior owner

I’ve lived here for a while but over the past few months since Essex took over as property management, you can see that things are falling apart: the carpets in the hallways are constantly soiled and the elevators always have dirt and garbage on the floor. Before Essex, things were spotless and clean, now it looks like a motel for the unhoused. Juanita, I implore you to come in person to see for yourself the filth that has built up in the hallways and elevators, it is too dirty! Please have a regular cleaning team come by weekly to at least keep the communal areas maintained. It is hard to bring new tenants and visitors to see the building when it is in such disarray.

Today’s fire drill was a mess. Alarms were turned on in every unit on every floor and left blaring for nearly two hours. Previous management did drills floor by floor, which was far less disruptive and took like 15 min of noise. When I called Essex, the response was dismissive: “this is how we do it,” followed by a scripted line about disruptions lasting from 9 am to 5 pm. No real explanation or concern. No willingness to find out how long will the noise take. What’s especially troubling is the lack of consideration for residents with pets. Hours of nonstop alarms are extremely stressful for animals, and there was no guidance, no staff on site, and no accountability.
