Retreat at Southpointe Apartments

Management is unapologetic, apathetic, and deeply incompetent. I have been waiting over a month for multiple maintenance requests submitted on December 30. Despite confirmed submission (with screenshots), I am repeatedly told to “resubmit” rather than having the requests entered manually on their end. This pattern feels deliberate and retaliatory. Rent reminders are timely and relentless, yet there is zero urgency when it comes to habitability issues. Maintenance is effectively non-existent. The grounds are consistently unkempt—except when an apartment becomes vacant. Those units are suddenly prioritized and turned over quickly for the next tenant. I would definitely not recommend these apartments. I moved in November & it’s only February. The response time to get you moved in immediate but as soon as you have a maintenance request, there isn’t any response. It had taken 2 whole months for the broken toilet to be replaced & that’s only because I advised I will be reaching out to code enforcement. There are multiple hardware stores in the area so there aren’t any excuses expect they don’t care. I’m still waiting for closet racks to be installed that Zayla claims is a courtesy but that wasn’t advised when I first moved in. Per the maintenance man, after painting the racks were not reinstalled. Every closet in the apartment has racks expect the master bedroom. Today Shawn the maint supervisor answered a request for a handicap (comfort height) toilet. He did a great job with the install. Fast and courteous, and while here fixed my garbage disposal and is looking to replace my outside light early on next week! Thankyou Shawn for the great job! Although I recently bought a home out of state, I came across a video Miss Jones posted on social media and absolutely loved it. I’m actually considering renting the property for the months I spend in town, since I travel back and forth between Atlanta and Alabama and often need a comfortable place to stay.
