Rent Bangor - Marsh Property Management

I rented with them for about two years and didn’t have any major issues. Overall, it was a decent experience. The apartment was acceptable at move-in, but I definitely had to do my own cleaning before getting settled—nothing extreme, just not a deep clean. Maintenance requests were handled in a reasonable timeframe, and they also took care of a few maintenance items that were missed during the month I moved in. I didn’t need maintenance often. I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved in and received my full security deposit back without any issues.

My wife and I moved into a property in Levant, ME in June. We were told prior to moving in that they hire professional cleaners who clean the apartment and use black lights to ensure no prior pet hair, dander ect. would be present when we moved in. We have a small child and both my wife, and my child have allergies. We move in and there is black dog hair all over the apartment floors. I submit a maintenance ticket as that is the only way to communicate with them along with pictures showing the black dog hair all over the apartment. Their response was basically oh well too bad. My wife and I had to move to Bangor and we weren't sure how long we would live there. We decided to rent and put down a deposit on a place managed by Marsh. Two days later the agent called us up and told us they were demanding twice the initial deposit after we had already signed paperwork. We declined and requested our deposit back. The agent refused and claimed that the deposit was not refundable. I explained that was not how deposits work and that taking money without providing anything in return is commonly referred to as theft. Cut to the end; I had to go their "office" with my cell phone recording them, yell at people and threaten to call the police. This all happened infront of other potential clients. My family and I had an excellent experience renting through RentBangor. The owners are extremely professional and willing to help in any way possible. They even helped us find a home to purchase in the area while we were renting from them! Property was clean, well maintained and priced reasonably given the current market. We couldn’t have been happier!

It was clean and move in ready. I appreciated the screening process and felt very safe in the Meadow Ridge Drive community. Kurtis' staff kept the community grounds well groomed. Phone calls were responded to in a timely manner. When I gave notice, I vacated and was contacted in a timely manner about receiving my security deposit refund. Kurtis was always very courteous and professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend this management company if you are looking for a safe, affordable and high end rental unit.
