Our experience with RE/MAX as the property management company for this rental has been deeply disappointing. Despite initially agreeing to one lease arrangement, they presented my husband with a completely different long-term lease at the last minute, leaving us with no practical alternative due to the 30-day time constraint. This felt manipulative and coercive. Property maintenance has also been severely lacking. Overgrown trees and vegetation have created what we believe to be a significant fire hazard in multiple areas of the property. Adding to the frustration, our rent was increased to the maximum amount legally permitted without any corresponding improvements or added value to the property. Donal is an extremely rude person. The way he spoke to me on the phone was disgusting. I started having my partner call and of course he was “nicer” (more like tolerant) to him because he is a male. I usually don’t waste my time on people like this but this one is personal. My partner and I are both disabled, my partner is paralyzed from the chest down. It was very hard for us to find a nice, clean, and accessible house for both of us. My illness requires me to preform an air quality test in any rental I apply for, I need to make sure it is safe for me. It’s something I pay for and do myself. Non invasive.
