Gerlando, owner of Purpura Construction, built us an amazing house. We purchased land in 2014 with our goal to build a home and retire in the Finger Lakes. Working with Gerlando was a great experience. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted in our house and as a custom home builder guided us every step of the way. We were 3 1/2 hours away, and he kept us informed on everything he did. From videos, pictures, facetime and phone calls, we were kept totally in the loop. He was very helpful with his recommendations on flooring, tile, shower design, kitchen layout, cabinets and materials plus so many more things. He is very honest and responsive and always made time for us whether on the phone or in person when we traveled to our property. He is very receptive to any questions and

Gerlando at Purpura Construction was amazing to work with. He came into our project after the work was started by another contractor and he completed everything exactly how we had envisioned it. I feel so much safer in my home now thanks to the work that Gerlando and his team did. Gerlando, at Purpura Construction, was receptive to questions and concerns. Honest and hard-working. Whenever there were change orders or any modifications to the plan, he was open, flexible and available to make those changes. If something didn’t go right he fixed it willingly. His responsiveness, honesty and being seriously hardworking were important but as a woman what I appreciated most was that he didn’t “over simplify” technical explanations; he was forthright. I was able to work with him at a high functioning level which was key to a productive mutual collaboration and a beautifully completed project as the final result.

Super smart and creative, full of great design ideas. I have been in the process of planning our home remodel for five years. Gerlando has helped with insight and ideas along with cost planning and remained patient with the timings of our future start date.
