Prospect Heights Apartments

Basically tricked into signing a lease on a really hot day while house less and they trick you into paying $1,250 a month cheapest unit they got. They also act like they give you a one late rent payment for free but they used it right when I moved in on a mistake they made ( not applying promo before the late fee was applied) they have fees for the utilities being through them and gave us the wrong address and made us figure it out on our own. Moved now but old neighbor kept knocking on my door claiming they own a parking spot and telling me they can't drive so they need me to move my car. It's not a reserved parking spot and I'm sick of being woken up by neighbors Once I seen the unit I realized I should just go sleep on my car or a half way house it's got a real garage feel to it here.

Zero out of 10 would not recommend. They asked me to leave a review So here it is. The amount of amenity fees Is ridiculous. I don’t understand why there’s a trash fee when my trash hasn’t been picked up a single time in the 30 days I’ve been living here. I don’t understand why there’s a Pest Control fee when the place was infested with bugs before I even moved in a single piece of furniture. Also there are rats all over the outside area. Had to wait 30 days to get my mail key so when I finally got it the mailbox was overflowing with mail. The amount of outlets without a covering is insane and a hazard. I rented at Prospect Heights and moved out on September 2, 2025 (lease end date, keys returned). Despite this, management billed me for an extra day (through 09/03), plus $295 for bathtub resurfacing that was already damaged before I moved in. They also charged me $100 for carpet cleaning even though I cleaned it myself and left the unit in better condition than I received it. I have disputed these charges, but tenants should be aware of how move-out charges are handled here. Update: Management responded here asking me to call, but I have already disputed these charges in writing via email and will continue in writing for documentation. The facts remain: my lease ended 09/02/25, they billed me through 09/03, charged $295 for a pre-existing bathtub, and $100 for carpet I already cleaned.

I have live here almost to the end of my lease and they did nothing to fix my frigerator. And they have the worst maintenance right now and I put in work for them to fix my sliding door for all most a year and they never fix it. And also beware of people around there they lie and steal stuff off of people porch and balcony and patio.

Living here has been extremely disappointing. The complex is consistently dirty, with ongoing issues of rats and roaches that management has failed to address. For the high rent being charged, the apartments are uncomfortable and do not reflect the value advertised. Safety is also a major concern there have been multiple break-ins, stolen property, and acts of vandalism throughout the complex, with little to no preventative action taken. In addition, the leasing agent is unresponsive, rarely follows up, and shows little concern for resident inquiries or well-being. Overall, this property is poorly managed, overpriced, and unsafe. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for housing.
