Absolutely awful place to live. The buildings have to be 50+ years old. Balconies are all falling down to where they had to come around and put support braces up on most all of the buildings. I left this place a year and a half ago and a lot of the buildings still have these braces up. My car was broken into multiple times. They had 'cameras' up around the buildings but maintenance says they never worked. The apartment they gave me was infested with roaches. Had pest control out six times in nine months. Tons of mold appeared along the walls of the bedroom. The first floor apartments are partially underground for some reason. I decided to leave before my lease was up and it was a literal act of congress to get them to break my lease for unsafe living conditions.
Genuinely would give negative stars. They don’t respond to maintenance requests, our apartment had ROACHES and they didn’t respond to us or try to fix it. To clarify- they bug bombed the apartment below, didn’t notify us, and then proceeded to not answer any of our requests. And while this isn’t the apartments fault in particular, I heard a dog get shot from my balcony, heard someone chase another person down with a gun directly below us, and heard about a neighbors kid getting kidnapped from within the complex. None of these were responded to by any authorities. This is genuinely not a safe place to live. Please look elsewhere
I have lived at Powell Court apartments for nearly a year now, and it's been a NIGHTMARE. I have had only one working burner since I've lived here, none of the outlets in my living room work so I have extension cords across my floor throughout my apartment. The hall lights don't work, so it's pitch black and dangerous at nights. I have submitted multiple maintenance request and I just get emails that they have been resolved but I have never seen or heard from anyone. My bathroom flooded creating a horrible smell and black mold underneath the flooring (which was confirmed by the on call maintenance man who said the floor needed to be removed for safety) which has never been dealt with either. And for the last 4 months my downstairs neighbor has let their dogs poop and pee all over the balco
First and foremost, ALL the negative reviews ARE TRUE and are NOT exaggerated by any means. I live here currently, and all the things others are saying are TRUE. Maitence DOES NOT tend to requests submitted in Portal for things to be fixed. I have currently been without an oven for 2 weeks. Was told "parts were ordered" and they were not, so I was outright lied to. Had to confront management to get parts ordered. Waited 4 more days, and and was told today that "Wonder Dog usually calls The Appliance Doctors to fix things like this, but they owe them money right now, so I don't think they will call them" and left my apartment, giving me zero update on when I will have my oven fixed. They do not give 24 hour notices to enter the unit. They let people LIVE in the garages on the property, so y
Complex parking is horrible.. they do not provide any guest parking and the only disabled parking I found was at the very back corner of this huge complex.. placing the disabled parking that far back provides zero assistance or accommodations to aid the disabled who reside in the front half of the complex. A complex this size really needs at least one disabled parking spot per building complex. The parking lot has several inoperable vehicles in the parking lot the could be cleaned up and the spots could be used by guests or more disabled spots. The apartments appear to be rotting and falling apart. The floors and walls are paper thin and the residents should be better matched from complex to complex. For example 55 and older in one, families in another. And so on..
