Richie & Jay built our custom home in 2011-12. This was our third custom home and our experience with Pohlad Homes was excellent. Work was completed as scheduled, communication was very good from start to finish. They did a great job of communicating how we were tracking to budget. If surprises or changes occur they took the time to meet face 2 face and explain the whys and their recommendation to address the issue. We are planning a remodel and Richie is the first person I called. I never knew the Pohlad family until we built our home. They were actually recommended to us by a previous custom home builder. We had a great experience with Pohlad Homes. Communication was great, as we were out of town for most of the construction. Jay, Richie and Michelle (office) and team couldn't have been more pleasant, responsive and professional to work with throughout the process. Everything was clear and documented from beginning to end through emails, text, etc. They were very mindful of cost saving ideas - which was important to us, but made sure quality was top notch. Would recommend Pohlad Homes highly and would use them again if needed.

Pohlad Construction built our new home 5 yrs ago and did additional remodeling in the years since. The Pohlad brothers, Jay and Richie, as well as their executive assistant Michelle, were always so friendly and professional during the planning and construction phases. They were great at keeping the construction site organized and picked up so as not to litter the adjacent home sites. They minimized the dust and debris in our home when we remodeled and their subcontractors, were for the most part, great people that we have continued to use. I occasionally hear horror stories about people's experience building homes, but our experience was never like that. We would definietly recommend this fine team.

Jay, Richie, and the rest of their team could not have been more responsive or attentive to our needs during the construction of our new home. They put a heavy emphasis on quality, yet pay attention to costs, which is what you want in a trusted partner. Our home was truly a custom project, and their attention to detail and communications during all phases made it a very enjoyable process. What has made a greater impression on us is what has happened after closing. We only had minor items to correct after closing and both Jay and Richie made sure they were completed on a timely basis.
