Closed on a property here in June and it is by far the worst home buying experience I have ever had. After telling us that we were ready for closing, our realtor got a call telling us that they would have to postpone the closing because they had discovered another lien on the house that needed to be resolved. This was frustrating, but what was more frustrating was their inability/unwillingness to attempt to work around my schedule to close the deal. I was set to travel out of town and rather than offering me the option of using a power of attorney or doing the closing virtually they just told me that I would have to wait until I was physically back in the area.
