DO NOT ENGAGE with this group. They represent Kanters Realty Associates, LLC. Do not move into 517 E 83rd whatever you do. Most of the units in the building are rent controlled, but mine is not. For the 2nd year in a row, they are slapping me with the maximum legal increase of 8.79% and I already pay 4 times the other renters. Meanwhile, for an entire month I couldn't fully use my bathroom because the ceiling caved in from a leak. They claim because they covered it with a trash bag and I could use the toilet and shower that I was fine. The ceiling (even while "covered") released so much brown water, debris, and dead bugs that I had to remove all furniture and items and have a trash can collecting water. I had to brush my teeth in the kitchen. This was for a full month. I have spent 6 weeks

Terrible landlord. Just stay away. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Rats and roaches, flooded ceiling, AirBnbs in our entrance. In 10 years of residency they did not clean, paint or fix anything. Nothing at all! I had to pay out of my pocked and bribe the Super if I wanted anything done. I stayed because of the good rent, but this year they simply decided not to renew the lease agreement, which is a violation of the housing laws. I was fed up with them and did not fight that. I just moved out and found a better place down the block. I know that they will fix and paint my apartment and will rent it for above the market price. I can only feel sorry for the next tenant to com.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My parents have lived in one of the building managed by Paro Management Co Inc for over 25 years. I was calling on behalf of my elderly parents who are on the lease and terminating their lease at months end in accordance to leave terms. But who ever picked up the phone was SO RUDE. When I kindly asked her for her name at the end of the call she said "I am the receptionist" and I asked once again she proceeded to repeat the same thing. They have always had an issue with leaks in their bathroom coming from the upstairs apt. Temporary fixes have been made, only leak again in a few months. This year, they've had a consist leak right above their bathroom light. They have called the super several times, knocked on his door, sent him notes to his apt request ma

Everyone on the reviews are 100% correct about Theresa. Rude unprofessional and just flat out disgusting human being. We have been living in the apartments for 3 years and each time it rains the ceilings leak of water and the paint and falls and damages the carpet. They have rejected a permanent fix due to it being expensive as per the contracters and building maintenance workers. They just do a temporary fix until it rains again and back to the same issue. Avoid moving here we made a huge Mistake.

I'm writing in regard to the building at 706 Eastern Parkway, Crown Heights. Do not rent in this building or in any other building managed by Paro unless you want to be treated like an animal. Our elevator has been broken on and off for the last 2 months. The management company has an exclusive contract with a repair technician who lives three hours away, and doesn't come out on weekends. So we go multiple days without an elevator in a 6-floor building. There are tons of elderly people who literally can't leave their apartments. If you call Paro, you will get yelled at by the receptionist. They will never call you back. It looks like this issue isn't going to be resolved any time soon, so don't rent here unless you want to pay for an elevator building and get a 6-floor walkup.
