Resident for 2 years: The positive- centrally located, walking distance to restaurants & cool events, pretty area, easy parking, elevator usually works, my apartment was spacious. If you don’t care about bugs & slow maintenance then you’ll be fine. I moved out a year ago, forgot to write my review & was waiting to fully move out and get my deposit back. It was a subpar experience living here. I thought I was getting a deal when I first moved in but that was not the case. I had issues with mold, no hot water, a broken dryer for over a week to top it off thee grossest roach 🪳 issues. Yes, it’s water bugs, “outside bugs” but they got inside A LOT. Their “pest control” did not help. The only thing that helped was me buying the sticky bug traps & placing them all around the apartment & had to

The apartments are located right near city center in Newport news which makes it a great area to explore. Port Warrick is about a 15 minute walk and they host concerts and mini-festivals during the summer and spring. The only downside I would say is that some of the residents leave trash in the stairwells, which is only cleaned up by the residents and not staff.

You cannot beat the price, size, and location of these apartments! The spacious floor plans, balconies, and in-unit full-size washer and dryer were amazing. The convenience of living in City Center is worth every penny!! (And the rent was still cheaper than other comparable local options)

We mostly enjoyed our 2 years in our two bedroom apartment. Pest control was a constant problem. We moved out 14 months ago and JUST received notice that we owed for “cleaning fees and a refrigerator part replacement” this was on top of not receiving our security deposit back. We left the apartment in pristine condition. I’m extremely frustrated to be hearing this news over a year after moving out. Please contact people in a more timely manner.

We’ve lived at Park Place Apartments for over two and a half years, but the experience has significantly declined due to terrible management. For over eight months, we've been dealing with excessive noise from the upstairs unit, including loud running late at night, appliance usage in the very early morning hours, and multiple disturbances that make it nearly impossible to get proper rest and sleep. Despite numerous written and verbal complaints, including alarming safety concerns (such as a neighbor aggressively trying to open our door late at night), management has done absolutely nothing meaningful to address the issue. They don’t follow up, don’t enforce community rules, and show no concern for resident safety or well-being. We’ve even requested to switch units or receive a rent adjus
