Park at City West Apartments

I moved here a few months ago and I think the reviews need to be updated. I reserved this apartment three months before moving in but I couldn't visit the apartment at the time because it was occupied. Jacey showed me everything around and she was only able to show me the balcony where my apartment would be. On the day I moved in, I couldn't believe of how amazing the apartment was. There were a few minor details that I asked to be changed and/or fixed. This new management is great and everything I've asked for, from simple maintenance to change a light bulb to something bigger, like replacing a window because of an air leak, they do within a few days. They deleted my review, probably because of the pictures of the mouse that they didn’t care about and didn’t email me back ever. Don’t get me wrong I loved living here, other than the fact that they never email back If you ever need them. I also understand that it’s normal for pest to get in to an apartment or house, because they will always find a way but the way I was treated the last two months by them was so upsetting to me I felt like I was treated like trash. Luckily I have my screenshot of my review because I’ll never let them take my story away from me because it did happen And I deserve to tell my story.

The units are nice, but the property management is abysmal. We moved out in October and had continual problems throughout our lease. Our move-in was delayed and they “misplaced” our cashiers check, leading to a late rent notice on our door despite the fact that we had to pay to move in. That was just the beginning. We had many maintenance issues, including a toilet that was installed three times and still leaked, which led to property damage and other issues. If a problem affects their ability to get paid, they’re on it; if it only affects the tenant, you’re on your own. The key fobs and call boxes were an ongoing issue, and the staff failed to answer questions about it. I lived there for a very long time and two months before I had to leave. I had a shocking discovery. A little mouse had climbed through one of the holes in the cabinets. I’ve heard little steps crawling up in the walls before, but never really thought anything of it. I contacted them and they never answered. I’ve had trouble with them never answering before they didn’t come until About a week later, it was only a little piece of paper saying that they put stuff around the apartment but when I checked, there was nothing it was super unprofessional of them. We've been living here going on three years. The staff is polite and professional and the maintenence crew is quite good. The apartment complex was finished in 1986 but it still looks like an upscale establishment.
