Palms Apartments

My experience as a former tenant of The Palms Apartments was appalling. What should have been a safe, well-maintained home turned into a years long ordeal filled with what I deem to be neglect, poor maintenance, and disregard for tenant health and rights. Everything in this review is based solely on my personal experience during my tenancy, backed by over 100 pages of documentation, including emails, photos, and maintenance requests. One of the most serious issues I personally experienced was a squirrel infestation inside the walls and ceiling that lasted for nearly ten months. Management took minimal action despite repeated reports. I used to live here back in 2000 with my parents. Fast forward to 2022 and i have a family of my own. We were really thinking about a place that was not only safe, but close to everything!! It was great then and it’s even better now. They have really done some upgrading. New stainless steel appliances in certain units, hard wood, spacious rooms, updated bathrooms, and a pool! Application was a great experience. They help you every step of the way no matter what, or how many questions you may have. We feel at home already and it’s only been a few days. No bugs!! And quiet neighbors.

Birthday Party at the Clubhouse – A Wonderful Experience! I recently hosted my daughter’s birthday party at the palm’s clubhouse, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! The accommodation was perfect – clean, comfortable, and welcoming for all my guests. There was more than enough space for everyone to mingle, eat, and enjoy the celebration without feeling crowded. The decoration of the clubhouse added a special touch to the atmosphere. It was beautifully maintained, with a stylish yet cozy vibe that made the event feel both elegant and relaxed. We didn’t need to add much décor because the space already looked so good! The kitchen appliances were another big plus. "Decal-controlled parking" except they don't enforce it at all. This combined with the tiny parking lots means residents will often have to park at another building, on the other side of the complex, or just on the side of the road and risk being towed. This is just one of this complex' many issues that I'm frankly too angry to to talk about in a way Google will keep up.

It's a great place to stay at. Close to the town center and close to get onto the highway if going to norfolk or oceana. The ladies at the front are very nice and have great customer service. I loved the free pizza I got, a half off pizza, and the free cokes upon moving in. Who doesn't like pizza lol. The pool is cool and the gym is okay. You are able to get spots when parking but after 1130 you might have to park on the road or side street. Overall I'm satisfied. I got the two bed room and one bath because it was cheaper than the one bed rooms because they go off what's in demand and it's just alot of space lol.
