Oxford West Apartments

Today I toured this property with Desi and had a great experience! She was very informative and pleasant. I felt very welcomed and comfortable speaking to her. I loved the layout of the apartment complex and the unit was clean and well-maintained. Having the choice of a town-home or apartment is great too! The amenities are a big bonus, with a gym and pool! I would definitely recommend this property.

Worst place in all of Oxford, Ohio. Recently purchased by Coastal Ridge, who is worse than last company. All they care about is profit. Stay away from this complex - Maintenance manager won't fix anything and just talks all day to office manager. Office manager is nasty and useless and will insult you when you demand they fix things such as broken HVAC, leaking pipes, animals in the ceiling or a hot water tank that leaks boiling water onto your floor all day and night and makes your electric bill skyrocket. If you are stuck in a lease at this place like I unfortunately used to be- call the city of Oxford Code enforcement and tell them what's going on and they will make sure things get take care of quickly.

Could never get anything fixed. Went without hot water for a week at one point, and AC for a different week. Had to be relocated because of college kids playing music at all hours of the night waking my child. This was an absolute terrible place to live for the three years we stayed. When we did move out they tried to charge us for a month we were not even there, holes in the walls that were NOT there(I took pictures when we moved out) they also did not use the 350$ “renters insurance” they charge at the beginning of every lease for anything. They’ve taken 1100$ in “insurance” for them and it didn’t cover anything for the renter. DO NOT EVER SIGN A LEASE WITH THESE CROOKS!! They will lie out their teeth to get you to sign the dotted lines. Office manager will spew out 300 lies per minute to get you to sign their 15 page lease and meet her quotas but once you sign, you're in big trouble. The red flag should be how many pages their lease is - I have signed leases five different times in Oxford and none of the leases were more than 3 or 4 pages long. This place will literally make you sick. Every apartment has mold and head of maintence does nothing about it. They never fix problems. They will either ignore you or try to blame you, but never actually fix their issues.

I would have given Oxford West a 4-star rating in 2019, but I can currently only give it a 2-star rating. First Con, some of the current staff members need to develop their people skills. In terms of management, you can do better; learn to treat people equally without bias and consistently monitor the property. Regarding the units, some of the buildings were constructed a long time ago, and the ventilation systems were not installed correctly (my thoughts). Having lived in the 3-bedroom apartments, you will only find one vent in each room (on the floor), which becomes an issue during both winter and summer, as you will have to bump up the AC to be comfortable, leading to higher bills.
