Oxford Hill Apartments

Now, I want to start this off with stating - I lived at Oxford Hill apartments. This is in relation to that community and the property managers over that community. Although, if one is faltering I doubt the others are thriving. Firstly, if you are a person that has no issue with; bugs (roaches, etc), holes in the walls from bad maintenance jobs, 20 year old washer and dryers, leaks, HORRIBLE mold buildup, RENT that is TOO much for the crap unit, and worse than the landlord special on everything. LIVE HERE! I was moving to Charlottesville somewhat on a whim and needed to find somewhere close enough to the school and in my price range. Lived here for 2 years. It's okay. The worst: 1. no recycling, so if you don't want to trash all your recyclables (like most residents do) you have to sort them yourself and drive them to the recycling center. Really feels unconscionable to not have single stream recycling in current year. 2. the shared laundry machines are highway robbery and just barely work. 3. plugs would constantly just fall out of the electrical sockets, they were so loose. Everything felt like it'd gone slightly too long without being updated, but it was livable and they do slowly make improvements. They once emailed us at 8pm on a work night asking us to move all of our furniture by 6am the next morning, so maintenance could get to the windows. I do not recommend living here. When I moved in it was filthy and had roaches. Maintenance was unable to fix most things since the apartment is old. Hundred taken off of my security deposit because of 2 broken blinds ( that maintenance said they couldnt fix). A rip-off left and right. Please don't move here.
