I've been very pleased with my stay here. Management is pleasant to work with, my maintenance requests are promptly addressed, and the property is clean, quiet, and safe. The Belmar Heritage Park right across the street has lakes full of ducks and geese, bike trails and horse trails - so it's a great place to get some fresh air, sunshine, and exercise without having to jump in the car and drive. They hold fun events there too in the warm months. The Belmar shops are only a few very walkable blocks away with great food, shopping, and movie theatre. There's some negative reviews about this place that I think are unfair, and more to do with tenants than management, so I wanted to share my experience to help balance that out. One Belmar Place is in a great location with really nice amenities, and on paper it seemed like a perfect fit. I was excited to apply, but the process ended up being more frustrating than I expected. It felt very impersonal and rigid, relying heavily on automated screening tools. Even when you meet the basic requirements and provide all the necessary documentation, there doesn’t seem to be much room for context or understanding the whole situation of an applicant. It makes you wonder how many responsible, qualified people might be overlooked simply because the system only looks at numbers and not the person behind the application. I've lived here for about 4 months and I can't wait for my lease to end. The walls here are paper thin and I spend all day and night listening to a screaming child. The mother is incredibly rude and could not care less about how disturbing it is. She will leave the child (1-2 years old) alone to scream and bang on the walls. Management has spoken to her but can't do much. On top of that, the complex is very dirty. I asked about cleaning staff and was told "no, we just have maintenance". So, that means the complex is constantly littered with trash, spoiled food, and dog poop. There are carpeted hallways that do not ever get cleaned which seems very strange to me considering the amount they charge for rent.
So far so great! We have lived here a month now and the staff had been nothing but friendly and helpful. Especially Missy who helped show us apartments and answer all of our questions while we were living in Brooklyn, NY. Everyone else in the office including maintenance have also been so responsive to any of our concerns. Every item we have requested maintenance on was fixed in the first few weeks including the replacement of some foggy windows. We love our apartment layout and how spacious it is! We have the Peterson layout which is a split floor plan. The living, kitchen and dining are located in the middle of the apartment so it's great for entertaining! We also have great views of the mountains from our bedrooms and balcony and the apartment gets a ton of sunlight! The only complaint
My boys and I lived here for a Year. Although the apts are very spacious I had lots of problems with our apt. I had to deep clean the whole apt days before I moved my stuff in. The dishwasher was very old and the inside looked like it was on fire at one point, once I let them know they did replace it right away. The washer does not clean very well, i dont know what they thought they did to it but its was the same and I dealt with it. When it started getting hot our air conditioning wasnt working they did come out right away but the cooling/heating system took 2 weeks to fix but they fixed the air and waited months until I complained we were freezing then they came and finished. They got spots of paint all over the floor and was told the guy would come back and clean it up but didnt, I can'
