Old South Apartments

This review is being posted to force immediate attention to serious safety and governance failures occurring within ParaWest-managed properties that have not been addressed through normal channels. Based on firsthand experience and documentation, there have been incidents involving resident safety, inappropriate and escalating conduct by individuals operating at the property-management level, and the use of unverified or misleading communications with law enforcement that resulted in residents being threatened with or subjected to removal. These actions, combined with a failure to properly investigate or escalate concerns once reported, raise significant questions about oversight, compliance, and risk management. My grandmother lived in this apartment complex. And always had issues with mice, roaches. And issues. With the apartments not fixing things they have had a turnover of office workers. A few times and i don't feel like they are doing their job. I definitely would not recommend this location to anyone looking for a good apartment.

We have lived here almost 3 years. The property has been through many managers and leasing agents. We personally are excited to have Ambar back!!! She gets things done, she is good at what she does, she is not easily intimidated and can usually see through the bull crap. The property itself has been improved over time and by that I mean they have done some renovations, they have worked to get the air conditioning issues fixed, they have taken better care of the courtyards and things, they have been consistent with monthly activities for the communities, they have filtered out some riff raff, they have pretty responsive security and we'll Old South also has a resident that looks out for the other residents as a whole community to keep everyone safe and so it's nice. Normally u get what u pay for, not so much here. Apartments are old for sure the newly renovated ones are nice ours not so much. Electrical issues with outlets light fixtures and such took a year or longer to get working heat/air unit. Husband has had to do most of the maintenance in our unit. I will say that some have worked hard to "clean" things up around here. Not just the ones being paid to but there are residents that do what they can to get rid of the traveling trouble and druggies. Most residents look out for each other and their kiddos, kind of a disfunctional but with respect in tact family. The worst apartment I have ever lived at. Maintenance didn't know what they were doing, didn't get things fixed, didn't clean up before they left. Management was very hateful. They would tell you one thing and the next time you spoke with them things would change. I would never rent there again. I wouldn't want my worst enemy staying there. They have black mold, all they do is paint over it and claim that it's fit. The whole time I lived there, there was no AC or heat. They are too over priced. I had water leaks and I had to clean up the water. They are very lazy there. You would put in a work order and they might get to you .or you would have to put in a new work order. Like I said , that is the worst living experience I have ever had.
