Oakmont Village Apartments

This place is really nice, what can I say? The maintenance crew here is top-notch. Tate is running a really good team, and the property looks great. We had a few small issues after moving in and Juan and Henry were professional and knowledgeable about fixing anything. All repairs were completed promptly and the maintenance team informs you what is going on at all times and shows a great deal of respect for your privacy. Sonata and Dean in the front office communicate directly about anything you need to know and are helpful whenever you need it. Sonata also helped us through a move in process full of (on our end) hiccups. The apartments are well built/maintained and are designed around livability. My wife and son also love it here.

Liked Living Here—Until the Move-Out Process I lived at Oakmont Village for two years and was generally happy with the experience and amenities. I always paid rent on time, kept my apartment clean, and was a considerate neighbor. Unfortunately, once I moved out, management withheld $1,600 from my security deposit to “replace” the carpet, claiming there were stains and excessive wear. The photos they provided show no stains or real damage, just normal traffic wear after two years of careful living. It seems to me they used my deposit to upgrade poor-quality carpet, not to repair legitimate issues. I strongly recommend that future tenants document everything thoroughly when moving in and out. Based on my experience, Oakmont Village does not handle security deposits fairly or appropriately

Property is nice and the area is quiet. Property rules change arbitrarily. They are extremely litigitous and decline reasonable accommodation requests that don't suit them. If my review is still a 2 star, the problem has not been solved.

We have lived here for 16 months and are moving due to our growing family but I can honestly say my experience has been superb. Plenty of parking is available for tenants and guests. I am not a frequent user of the gym but it seems adequate (however, it is located in the main leasing building so if you don't live there you may have to trek to that building). You can very easily get on the highway as route 70 is right around the corner. A 24-hour Harris Teeter is right in front of the complex which is never busy and a Weiss is about a 5-7 minute drive away. You can also get on Route 40 in less than 5 minutes for your dining needs. Once again, Genevieve and the maintenance staff at Oakmont came through. After a recent power surge knocked out my microwave oven, a new one was installed the same day of my request for service! This is a great place to live!
