Northgate Apartments

Do not move here! They will literally scam any and all teens. Had to pay 1,200 just for a deposit. Plus $835 first month’s rent. It dosent stay at $835 every month they start to add hidden fees. The gates don’t work half 9/10, yet you pay a security fee. I went through 5 different managers for living there for only a year and some change. Moved out and there still trying to charge me 1,152 because they want $300 to remove adhesive 😂. Also prior manager knew about the damages from last tenants. Yet they’re trying to charge me for it. Left the place in perfect condition when I left even hired a professional cleaner, that wasn’t clean enough for them. You also can NEVER get ahold of the most recent manager. He’s never at the property and never answers the phone. Yet will try to make illegal

This place sucks management changes every 2-3 months, the gate codes rarely work and they try to screw you over every chance they get. Before any thing make sure to take pictures from every angle and in every form of lighting because they will try to blame you for their horrible paint job. And make sure to send them to them but also keep them for yourself so they cant blame you for anything. Getting a $500 fee for normal wear and tear is absurd. The management of these apartments only cares about extra money in their own pockets.

When I was approved to lease from Northgate, there was no availability for almost 3 months. I decided to wait for the apartment because of it being a gated community (and I thought there would be security), and seemed to be quiet and well maintained. The manager, Timothy, was very helpful and friendly, this 2 months that I've lived here, and I don't blame him for any of my concerns. One of my kids was interested in renting a studio apartment just like the one I was waiting for. Timothy said that they could move in anytime, because he had 2 studios, like mine, available. I asked if I could move in early, into one of those units, as I was staying with friends at the time, and he said no because I've already signed the paperwork for the unit that I had been waiting for. This has been a terrible last 3 months for me at Northgate apartments. First I had to wait for 3 months to get into an apartment, even tho they had available units ready to go. When I had to pay $400 just to fill out an application, there was no availability for 3 months. I wanted to wait until a unit opened up because of the security of the outer gate and gates to get into the buildings. In the meantime of me waiting for my unit to open up, my son asked about living there and he was told that he could move in right away. Same apartment that I was waiting for. When I asked if I could go ahead and move in, the answer was no. The $400 paperwork had already been done and could not be changed. I was scheduled for a tour today 1/2 @1pm and I couldn’t get through the gate. A resident had to let me in. I walked to the office and NO ONE WAS THERE! When you try to call it sends you to a AI ROBOT! When it finally tried to transfer me it said “sorry no one is available to take your call.” Don’t LIVE HERE because the communication is so poor and you WONT be able to get in touch with an actual agent. Don’t book someone a tour & then you’re not even going to be in the office. I came across another resident and she said the communication is ALWAYS BAD! She tried calling today and couldn’t get ahold of anyone. That is so sad. DO BETTER! Don’t contact me again and delete my information. That is such poor and lazy communication to be using AI
