North Chase Apartments

Northcase apartments are very nice well kept up property. It's very quiet and it's hid away from all the noise of the city. Northcase is very well maintained. And the residents are very friendly. The only other apts I'd recommend are the ones I live in which is The Creek Apts on Wrightsville Ave.

We lived there for a year. The pond view was nice to have the Barn Swallows are a nuisance in Spring. They will roost in the corners of your back patio and they’re federally protected so you can’t do anything about it. They will poop several times a day which is toxic to breathe in and be around. That was really the only complaint besides loud neighbors next door that had 4 unruly children and a loud dog that pooped in the mulch next to our front door until January of this year when the new property management Capstone took over Blue Ridge Properties. They sent us the lease renewal in early April in an email and it wound up in my spam folder because it didn’t come from the office’s address. This used to be a great, relaxed, clean place to live. It was bought by a company named Capstone Multi Family Group who has already started to drive it into the ground. They raised rent almost $200 for no reason; everything is outdated, no upgrades other than new windows which are as not even a necessity in any way. The grounds used to be clean and free of trash but now there’s trash everywhere and no one cleans the grounds. The pool is murky and gross and full of bugs. Clearly no one is keeping up maintenance on it. The former grounds maintenance guy always made sure it looked clean and pristine. They were trying to clean it today with chemicals and had a box of chemicals on the concrete when my daughter and I went to swim. They didn’t even have a closed sign or anyone out there working.

Do not move here. You’ve been warned. For the price, go elsewhere. They’re gonna try and rip you off at every turn, especially with the new management company, Capstone. The pool water is green. The fitness center is an old shed the maintenance man used to use that they converted into a fitness center. It’s a joke. Really. Better places in town for same price.

This NEW management (Capstone) and property manager, Michael, have displayed new levels of incompetence I did not think were possible. If you wish to be treated with the bare minimum of basic decency as a tenant, Find ANY other company to rent from. I would give 0 stars if it were possible. As an experienced renter, I have never seen such shady actions, questionable business practices, discriminatory concerns, unethical behaviors, unprofessionalism, unreachable employees AND company, and much more. The list goes on. Positives for the complex itself, though, are that the pool is nice and the area is safe.
