If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is a mess. Homeless drug addicts constantly on the property, gathering in large numbers, breaking into cars, and the building, digging in the constantly overflowing dumpsters and passing out wherever they feel like on the property and in the building. The common areas are always trashed, mailboxes broken and don’t lock at all, and packages always getting stolen. Tenants dogs are constantly barking, and poop and pee all over the fake grass “lawn” out front and never clean it up. In the summer it smells horrible. The front door slams so hard that it shakes the whole building. It even broke the window on the second floor in our babies room. We informed management of the door issue and the window issue and it was months before management even respond
place sucks, management sucks, lease office doesn’t pick up the phone, lease agents don’t give correct information and contradict each other during move-in process….they didn’t do any maintenance on my place before move in so lights were out, heat didn’t work and they didn’t communicate if they were fixing it or not during the coldest part of winter…trash is piling up like crazy, got drugs addicts around the corner always wandering around the parking lot, typical colfax, don’t move here even if you’re desperate like me, only good thing is it’s close to sloan’s lake and edgewater
This was absolutely the worst rental experience of my life. The management company is not staffing or investing appropriately to maintain this building and the building management that they do have are the most disorganized people ever. They have no idea how to delegate or prioritize work. The only people that they care about are those that go to the office in person, but the office is downtown and nowhere near this actual building, so good luck getting any attention if you live here. We never had a working thermostat in our year living there. The laundry machines were constantly broken and filled with water which made the whole building smell. Once, many of the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were left without batteries that it set off an alarm in the whole building where the fire dep
I would seriously reconsider anywhere else other than this building. Management is incredibly slow to respond to anything that may break down due to poor upkeep of the apartments here. I somehow got lucky and was able to get maintenance to fix many of the issues when I got here in July 2023 (water leaking through window, poor electric system, and several lights not working). This should not be the norm for places that advertise themselves to be "ultra-modern". The place was okay but the walls are very thin so you can practically hear everyone during the day and night. You have to pay for laundry which is acceptable but the machines break down constantly and are way too old for again for a place that states is "ultra-modern". Also, there was no AC in my unit on the ground floor which makes
Elizabeth has been a pleasure to work with so far! The property looks maintained and the leasing process has been easy with her. At the end of the lease, I will update with the overall living/management experience. Edit- completely forgot about updating this, but the property constantly ran out of hot water. They have a boiler system from the 80s they refused to replace, but other than that, no bugs or mice and the laundry usually always worked. It’s not the worst place for the price but it is next to Colfax, and if you’re looking in this area you should already be aware of the Colfax situation 😂
