I have been living at Townhome Converse – Spartanburg for almost a year and have always paid my rent on time. Since late January, I have reported a broken washing machine, and it still has not been fixed, even after a technician visit. The management is irresponsible with tenants, expecting timely payments but failing to provide essential maintenance or any follow-up. This forces me to use laundromats, causing extra expenses and wasted time. Given this situation, I will not be renewing my lease under any circumstances. My lease ends in April, and I strongly advise prospective tenants to consider this before moving in. Adriana

Update: Miss Turner has been very proactive and helpful in resolving the issues the new management inherited with this company. She audited my son’s account and made a fair proposal for a refund that was very close to what we were asking. We are still dealing with calls from the collection agency, but were told that could take up to 60 days to correct, so we will be patient. Thank you very much Miss Turner for being so dedicated to making things right. my son was renting a house from a different company when Newshire bought it Nov. 2024. Mid Oct, there was a paper put on his door "welcoming" him to Newshire and explaining how to pay rent and so forth starting Nov 1. Mid March 2025, my sons employer was closing down for renovations which left him scrambling for work. At the end of May 2

The villas in Spartanburg sc ok place not too much hood ish goin on. The problem is not the tenants as you would think by looking at the place it’s the damn property manager. I’ve had 3 issues in the last 4 months they have failed to resolve and had the nerve to go up 30 dollars on the lease (had time to sign and it was signed for me without my knowledge also today they charge a late fee but late fees shouldn’t be charged until the 5th (it says in the lease) back in November I put in an order for blinds the maintenance guy said he didn’t have time to replace them and I see him across the street at the townhomes fixing things all the time. Also at this same time I said there is mold in the bathroom he said it isn’t IM TELLING YALL IT IS! The reason I didn’t sign a damn renewal because they

TLDR: poor management oversight, added fees, and unsafe/dirty living conditions (crime, bedbugs & roaches) Moved to a Newshire property in February and signed a year lease; a month later we were told a mandatory $75 “resident benefit package” would be added monthly (totaling an additional $825 that was never disclosed prior to signing the lease). This included quarterly pest control, quarterly air filter replacement, ‘valet trash’ (which- unlike Valet Living services- you put your raw trash bag on the carpet outside of your door), and 24 hour maintenance. Both pest control & air filter were outlined in our lease, and when we got our welcome folder upon moving in (before resident benefit package), we were given info on 24 hour maintenance as well as a magnet with the contact information fo

Been renting for them for over a year. Can’t ever get a hold of anyone ever. Can’t even get my lease renewed that ends this month. Always voicemails that no one reads or gets back to. The wife talked to Monique on the 12-1-25 about a lease renewal. Said she’d get right on it and we’d get by the end of the day. Been 2 days since then, this place is a joke that’s only good for taking the rent every month.
