Shady from the start, having the same/similar company name as a very reputable title company, New World Title & Escrow. Dealt with them for a closing recently where I represented the Seller. They made two mistakes on the settlement statement that netted my seller just under $10K less than the one she signed. Acted like neither mistake was a big deal--no explanation of what or how the mistakes happened; the first was, "Well, we totally left this $760 off what you owe," then it was, "Send us back $9000," after funds were disbursed. Had to get clarification on that one and it turns out they superimposed two numbers in my client's payoff amount and it took DAYS after closing for them to realize. I find it very important to deal w a title company who is Attorney operated. The staff is also wonderful and they do a great job getting my deals to the closing table.
