Horrible, horrible horrible police to rent from. Not too long ago we didn’t have hot water for over the weekend which almost spread into a whole week. Tonight I come home from work. It’s early in the evening around 7:30 and the hot water completely runs out. They claimed that they had a part that had to be fixed. No the whole damn thing needs to be replaced. Stop being cheap period with all the money you asked for in rent you should be able to afford a new hot water heater. A person could get hypothermia from constantly showering in cold water. I had to wash my hair and cold water. I’m literally getting sick from showering in cold water. I have to boil pots and pans just to get warm water. I don’t wanna work all day and have to come home to not enjoying a nice warm shower. So of course, y

New Horizons Housing are a very good leasing company comprised of kind and understanding people. When considering leasing with them, I had various different moving parts are far as move-in dates and lease lengths, and they worked to accommodate me in what was ultimately exactly what I needed. I have conversed mostly with Brittney who, in addition to replying very quickly, is SO kind, helpful, and easy to work with. Also, the day I moved in, there were a couple hiccups that were fixed very quickly by the maintenance team (who are also VERY kind folks). Genuinely, I got a response back to my email within 5 minutes and the maintenance folks were at my place within the hour--which was necessary considering it was a 20 degree January day. On top of broken central heating, I had to shower in cold water tonight. I let the water run for 10-15 minutes but still no hot water. I had to wash my face in cold water too because the bathroom sink didn’t run hot water. So disappointed.

The black man recipient in the front desk is absolutely horrible. He has such a hostile temper. We were talking about a shipment in front of the building. It gets to a point that we yelled at each other. Today I called the office, unfortunately he is the one that picked up. By the end of call he just hung up on me. Like, I was in customer service for years and I never treated any of my customers like that. If u hate your job and want to be such bossy of a man, please run a business, you are not the material for customer service.

Lived with New Horizons Housing for 4 years and had a great experience! I lived in the Penn West Suites building and the apartment was comfortable and contained all the basics. Great for first time renters. I lived on the first floor and I rarely heard my upstairs neighbors, the walls and ceilings are pretty thick. The maintenance team did great work and always responded to requests quickly. The landlords and managers were also always around to answer any questions and discuss any concerns I had. I would recommend having any personal packages delivered to the leasing office so that you actually receive them (the leasing office will hold your packages for you for one week).
