the manager here carina simpson is the worst. the apartment is actually nice and well kept up but if you want to deal with passive aggressive and unprofessionalism then don’t move here. she’s a scammer and will try to charge you for rent while someone else is already paying rent in the same exact unit. Save yourself

Management is awesome! I recommend this complex because they are locally owned. Not a corporation. Carina and Tom are easy going, professional, and prompt to respond to concerns. I do wish there was a message board so all tenants could communicate regarding issues in the neighborhood, make process improvement recommendations, etc… Example: wish we could pull resources together to make a small gated dog fence for our dogs to be off leash. Wish this place had a few treadmills for the rainy days. Other than that, as expected and appliances are solid. I typically hate apartments but these guys do a good job! I’ve been here 2.5 years and there haven’t been excessive price hikes. Very minimal.

Museum Apartments is THE place to live in downtown Norfolk. Lived there for 4 years and just moved recently but museum apartments will spoil you! It has great walkability.. literally right next door to a gym and juice bar. Has awesome updated amenities.. I truly miss the wifi connected AC unit.. (it's the little things lol) convenient trash chute and parking garage. Maintenance is always on top of things but honestly... there was really nothing ever to fix just routine updates. The building was great. Very clean! Beautiful aesthetics and nice spacious options for apt layouts. Wonderful neighbors. I remember we had a neighbor next door to us let us know they had a puppy and apologizing for noise while they train them.. WE HEARD NOTHING THROUGH THAT SHARED WALL EVER lol not a single bark. C

The management at this apt complex is unorganized and passive aggressive. There were multiple issues with communication about rules and procedures where management then makes you feel it is your fault that they did not communicate with you and with each other. However, I will say that the location is good and we felt safe in the complex.

The property manager Carina Simpson is very unprofessional. When I inquired about moving into this apartment complex I email her my application, after two weeks of no response I had to contact her. She then proceeded to tell me my application was denied because she FELT that I wasn’t financially fit to move in the apartment complex. Which isn’t true at all. She could have at least contacted me immediately instead making me wait two weeks for a response. Which really inconvenienced me, now I have to find a new place to stay in less than a month.
