in short, the developer eagle rock is charging high end rates for exceedingly mediocre units. im renting one of the renovated units, and it has issues such as the water smelling like gasoline and hard minerals, the hvac doesnt reach the bedroom and struggles to maintain heat at 69, and something is up with ventilation where your apartment always smells like whatever your neighbors are cooking. you can tell the renovations were done as cheaply as possible with things like not leveling the floor before putting laminate down, there is a weird plastic paint on the bathroom tiles instead of replacing them, and the cabinets are painted over from the previous worn-out wood. all this is normal apartment stuff and you would expect to pay normal rent, but when they are taking over $1900 out of my

This place is the perfect example of looks too good to be true. I moved in with two of my friends back in may of 2025 and ever since, there is always some issue going on that takes too long to be resolved to begin there was a leak going on and you could see on the walls of the bathroom the water damage. So eventually maintenance comes in to attempt to fix the issue and they leave part of the wall and ceiling open and take a couple of weeks to patch the wall up and paint over it again. Then the laundry room downstairs starts to become flooded and it smells like a bunch of dirty bathroom water came up and there was enough water on the ground to cover the whole area at least half an inch high like a little rain puddle for a visual example. I moved in about one month ago to Mountain View Terrace. Before moving in, the staff (specifically Kayona and Aliyah) were very helpful with the move in process. They checked up on me with frequent calls to see if i had any questions or concerns. Once I moved in, that never changed, they continue to check in and make sure all is good with the property. The property itself is in a very safe and clean neighborhood. The apartments are spacious, clean, and convenient. I toured a little over a dozen apartments before moving up to Albany and Mountain View was by far the cleanest and friendliest option. I would recommend this development to anyone looking for somewhere to live in the Albany area.

Edit: This is an edit of my first review as we’ve been moved in for a few months and many things have gone wrong. First of all we have been moved in for less than a year still and maintenance has needed access to our apartment 10+ times. Me and my roommates all work nights so we getting woken up by the maintenance team often, even though we gave them full permission to enter our apartment they still yell and knock excessively every time they enter. There has been several leaks just in our building, water pressure issues and even sewage pipes spewing up in the community laundry room causing the whole building to stink. The parking is also an absolute mess. There are many cars that just sit in parking spots never moving just taking up space and they haven’t done anything about it. Overall, m
