The stay turned out great! However, the communication beforehand made going into the stay feel pretty uncomfortable. We felt relief once the check-in information was received. Until that point, however, Russ made us feel like it was a scam, because a couple times he was unresponsive and didn’t respond until we sent a follow up text. We booked directly through Mountain Stay Properties, which was $150 less than booking through Airbnb. Which was a good deal! However, the hassle and the lack of peace of mind made the lead up to the trip quite stressful. There were a couple times we were double charged, once for the rental, and once for the damage deposit; but the money was ultimately returned.
