**Very Disappointed – Be Careful Before Applying** I had a very frustrating experience with the leasing process. After submitting my application and paying the fees, I was told I would hear back within 24 hours. It’s now been almost a week with no response. I’ve had to constantly call for updates, and no one answers. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. They show you a nicely remodeled unit to attract you, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get that same type of unit. I never got to see the actual unit I selected. You’re expected to move forward without knowing what you’re truly getting until after approval. The Tanglewood Leasing Office sent me to Mount Dora saying there were several units available. I highly recommend seeing the unit before you sign your lease. Well, I made the mistake of not doing so..I’ve lived there almost a year and am now leaving . Right after I moved in with my daughter, we noticed that there was a terrible mold issue in the unit… Maintenance takes weeks to respond to work orders and we were without an AC for over a month at one point which further exacerbated the mold concern. Let’s not get started on the giant roaches that I’ve seen there. The building is very old and under maintained. If I financially was able, I would’ve broken the lease several months ago as we’re pretty sure the accumulation of mold has had an effect on our health. I stayed here at Mount Dora Apartments for 2 years in apartment 86! This place is super affordable versus anywhere else In the Lake County area! They are awesome with communication and really do fit the needs for being a tenant of theirs at your comfortability and happiness! Caitlin Who works at the office always helped me out answered any questions I had and got back to me right away. She is the sweetest. I highly recommend living here if you are looking for something affordable and personable they have washers and dryers in every apartment so that right away is super convenient and for the price you cannot beat it! I stayed in a one bedroom one bathroom and the living room and kitchen was very spacious and so was the bathroom and bedroom, 100% perfect set up for 1 or 2 people in a 1b/1b

I’ve been living here for one year, and living here has been pleasant, it’s a quiet community and if there are any maintenance issue, maintenance Resolves the matter right away, so it’s a good, clean, cost effective community to live in.

Never anyone in the office, nor do they answer the phones. The numbers you find take you to the offsite maintenance line, who can't do anything but "pass along a message". You're not getting a call back that way, either. Management is a joke.
