MOD Apartments

I lived there until it was sold to new owner (July 2022 I think). So I can really tell about my experience up to that point. Management was AWESOME! The neighborhood was great. Very quiet and they have a trash concierge (used to be $25 a month) that they can pick up trash that you leave in front of your apartment door daily. My packages were never stolen. Check-out was on the high side for me though

I moved in a little over a year and a half ago. For the first year it was great, the location was good, management was very attentive, rent was reasonable for the area. Then the building was sold to a new owner in July. We received a notification that the new owner has leased the building out from under the existing residence to Seattle Children’s. We were told we were “welcome to stay” if we wanted to pay significantly above market value for our current units. Things have continued to go downhill since then. I received a notice of rent increase increasing my rent by 50% bringing the total of my one bedroom apartment to $2400. Then they shut off the secured package lockers. In all of the time I have lived here I have never once had an issue. However, in the past month I’ve had 3 packages

I lived at Mod for about a year and loved my experience! The apartment is quiet and peaceful. I really liked all the common areas - it felt unique compared to all the other apartment communities in Seattle. The atrium is a great place to go if you work from home. The number of amenities you get is great (gym, barbecues, rooftop area, bike storage), which made the cost of rent more than worth it. At one point my dryer broke, but then maintence was able to get a new appliance in the next day. I really appreciated the turnaround time! When I did have a negative experience, the team did everything they could to make sure I felt heard and understood. I appreciated that so much! I only moved out because I no longer live in Seattle, but definitely miss the Mod vibe!

I'd give it a 0 but it's not an option. Signed a 1 year lease with these losers and wasn't there for the last ~month and a half because I had already moved in somewhere else (that wasnt $1800 a month for 700sft). With 19 days left in my lease I emailed mod and asked if there was anything special I needed to do before my lease ended (again hadnt been there for a month and a half. place was empty) Turns out they need 20 days notice (verbal doesnt count you need to scribble "LET ME GO" on paper/email), which despite them spamming my email with every stupid "event" that no one shows up to, they only tell you that key detail in paper by sliding it under your door (again not there so this is useless to me). They then signed me up for month to month contract.... That's 2 and half months I pay

Located in lovely south Wedgwood which is quite and safe. Close to bus, grocery and banks. But If you like partying and city/campus life may not be the best pick. Apts are newly furnished and the commodities are ok, but not very well maintained. High tenants turn-over. Not flexible rents and high check-out costs.
