Mission Grove

This is by far the last place you want to sign a lease. They are so unprofessional. The maintenance men don't know how to do their jobs at all. You have to constantly ask for someone to come fix something in your apt. They always say they're going to come the next day but never do. The neighbors are either ghetto and noisy. Never either or. They will cut off your water for a good 8 hours without any type of heads up. Save your time & money & don't move here. The place may look neat and nice on the inside but just do yourself a favor & don't even bother. They're charging up and extra 120$ for rent & they haven't even changed anything in our apt. but the door. We can't even get them to fix the leaky shower faucet.

I moved in 2015 when it was called Stratford Landing. At the time rent was $535 for a 1/1 with pool, playground, and laundry facilities. A year later I moved into a 2/1 for $650. Still not bad, but they eventually demolished the playground, and placed the grills where it used to be with the promise of adding benches. Again, for the price it was okay. There were issues that I had that weren't quickly addressed. The roaches, the water constantly being turned off due to a leak, the ants, the loud neighbors, but again the price was good. It was time to renew. Rent went up to $695 due to changes being made around the complex, along with a new property management company taking over...Northland. Apartments are out of date, but the appliances have been updated. The apartment was perfectly clean when I moved in. The unit smells of cigarette smoke but that is easy to fix with an air purifier. Leasing office staff is very polite and helpful, but the maintenance workers are very rude. I was advised by the Tallahassee Police to close my blinds at night and keep all belongings out of my car, as this area has a history of criminal activity. There is a group of very kind security staff that patrols the area from 6pm to 6am. The apartments are completely quiet even though families with small children live here. Four stars because the apartments do NOT have: patio, hardwood floors, microwave, ice maker, dishwasher, washing machine or dryer, closets, etc.

I know what people are saying is probably true prior to the new company. Now, with the new owner, the exterminator comes on a regular basis and maintenance problems are repaired properly. The new company is doing a good job keeping the property clean, and maintaining the apartments better.

I found this place on Craigslist and within a few days I decided to make this place my new home. Dylan was extremely friendly and given my situation I was happy to find a place like Mission Grove. When I moved in I noticed the apartment didn't seem like they cleaned it at all, but I knew I was gonna clean it anyways so I brushed it off. The oven was new and the fridge was new but there were quite a few bumps and bruises throughout the apartment that they told me basically they were not gonna fix. For example: the kitchen countertop has knife cuttings on the counter(the previous owner didnt have a cutting board). They said they would not replace it.
