Meyer Forest

I posted the following review of my experience living in Meyer Forest in September 2025. In October, management offered to refund a disputed portion of my rent if I removed it. However, after I signed an agreement and removed the post, they never followed through on this offer and instead sent me an invoice with even MORE (incorrect/fraudulent) charges, such as fees for damages based on cracks in the walls from the apartment's shifting foundation. I wish I was kidding. My experience is very similar to the other negative reviews here, so I can only imagine how many other reviews like mine have been repressed. Rent here at your own risk. There are so many better options for apartments in Houston! Please save yourself. The apartment has a super bad roach infestation. One of the worst I’ve seen in Houston since I’ve been living in the city. Our heat will get stuck on so we can’t really use it. To turn it off we have to mess with the power breaker and the same for the AC. We try to cut the AC on it will cut off immediately and we need to use the e power breaker to restart it. Our washer barely works! We have to restart it multiple times to wash one load of clothes. We put in a maintenance request they said it works just fine because they heard it “turn on” Please don’t be fooled by the nice lake and the cute ducks! You can find better I promise! There have been multiple thefts in this apartment complex, yet there is no security, no cameras, and nothing is being done to address the issue. Residents are left feeling unsafe in their own homes. However, if your car registration isn’t updated, they are very quick to tow your vehicle without hesitation. They don’t seem to show the same urgency when it comes to the safety of the people who live here. If management is quick to take your money for rent every month, they should be just as quick to fix serious safety concerns. Residents deserve to feel safe where they live.

The staff is wonderful! I recently toured Meyer Forest and LOVE the walking path, fitness center, and pool! The model unit I toured looked very nice and modern with granite counters and nice stainless steel appliances. The manager told me they have been hosting events for residents including fitness events, costume contests (for Halloween), and other holiday events. This definitely seems like a great place to live!

I lived here for 2 years and 3 months and what would have been a decent review turned into a negative one. I put up with the mold in my ac ducts and window sills. I put up with my ceiling leaking multiple times. I put up with my ac breaking multiple times. I put up with the fire alarm going off randomly in the night. What I’m not putting up with is the unwillingness to work with me, a resident who never complained or never missed any payments or bothered anyone. They’re charging me for damage to my unit that was already present when I moved in. Save yourself the time and don’t move here. They don’t care about you. Dirty. Unsafe. If you have a nice car get a garage or you’ll wake up to no tires. Expect random people to knock on your door here and there too because anyone can walk in a
