Metro on Granby Apartments

My family has lived here almost 2 years. We are good tenants & recently had issues with our HVAC. We have been on and off without air all summer with 2 under 2 and still are currently without HVAC. Every-time maintenance came to fix the issue, it would stop working again, until about 2 weeks ago they realized they needed a piece that required another 4-6 weeks. We asked for concessions since we have paid our rent as usual, in addition to a huge electricity bill for a window air conditioner unit placed in a LOFT that barely cools the living room, let alone our room/ our kids room upstairs. God forbid we want to cook something in the oven/ dry a load of laundry, creating more heat. We then were denied concessions. Their argument? At least maintenance came in a timely manner. I enjoyed my time living at Metro. While I found the application process to be somewhat difficult and frustrating, Shannon made everything smooth and easy. Whenever I had maintenance issues, they were addressed promptly, unless parts were needed, in which case, there was a short delay. Overall, I had a positive experience living there.

I just moved out this week and I enjoyed living here a lot. Its in a very convenient area and the apartments are clean and well taken care of before move in. There were issues here and there with some appliances in the apartment but that was no concern because the maintenance team would be there next day to fix the problem and be in and out. They respected the space and would let me know when they are coming and going. I also had some issues for a few months with money which caused me to fall behind a bit, but everyone in the office was very understanding about it and didn’t give me a hard time. Something is always broke!! They take weeks to fix it. The property is very poorly taken care of. It’s very dirty and neglected. The elevator was broke for 3 weeks. They had no alternatives for those who live on the upper floors. My neighbor had to walk up 6 flights of stairs with a cane after just getting out of a wheelchair. Forget trying to grocery shop. If it’s not one thing it’s another!

It has been good thus far. The maintenance team responds quickly. The young man Shane on the maintenance team. Always does a good job & leaves my apartment clean when he finishes. I can always tell when he answers my calls. He also explains what he needs to do & ask permission to come in if i am not home.
