🥺 The owners do not care about seniors. The front entrance is so dark that it's scary exiting and entering as shown in the photo. A simple timer fix. They make you pay $35 a month just to park in a space in your own parking lot. You pay $200 a month on top of the rent for miscellaneous fees that should be included. Many of the residents are eager to move out when their lease is up. Coco, the leasing agent, is fake nice while she lies to you before you sign the lease then after you do, she is rude and refuses to discuss her contradictions. There is video proof of her unprofessional behavior. Shiva, the manager, at least tries to help and Kimmie is very friendly. McDermott 55 is a great place to live. The community is clean, modern, and well maintained, and the location is very convenient. The staff is friendly and responsive, and maintenance requests are handled quickly. The amenities are nice, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. I would definitely recommend McDermott 55 to anyone looking for a quality apartment community.Natalie Suzanne is an amazing person to work with.

• Rent prices change daily • They do not name their apartment floorplans, so they don’t even know which floorplan is in each apartment. I have never dealt with such an incompetent apartment management company. They verbally quoted me different square footage for an apartment than what was on the quotes they sent me. My FICO is over 800, so credit is not an issue. I have had a great experience in the year that I have lived at McDermott. Shiva, the Manager really cares about us and helps us all. I was worried I would not make friends, but Friday Happy Hour is the highlight of my week when we all get together. I would recommend moving here if you want to be with people your own age!

This is my first review of McDermott 55. I have been a resident here for 1 1/2 years. I am most pleased with the professional management of this community. The maintenance crew has always responded with in hours of each request. I would recommend this community to anyone who searches for a 55 and over housing. Community.
