RENTERS BEWARE TL;DR: Miscommunication, false promises, wrong apartment, unlivable conditions, and zero accountability. Marvel 29 turned my move into a nightmare. Marvel 29 could be your villain arc maker. This is my experience — and why you should STEER CLEAR. In August 2025, a listing came up for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. My husband and I both applied, paying the $50 application fee each plus a mysterious $250 “hold” fee. After a week of silence, we called and spoke to the manager, Eddie, who seemed confused — apparently, someone “forgot” to tell us we were approved. He promised to send the lease by the end of the week. Days passed. Nothing. My friend even went in person, and Eddie told her the same thing — “I’ve been busy, but they’re confirmed for the unit.” Two weeks befo
Update to manager response: As I said, I will not be contacting you directly about any of this. Been there, done that. For many months I tried. Truly one of my worst living experiences. Want some honest advice? DO NOT MOVE HERE. This has been one of the worst living experiences I have had and we are thrilled to leave. This place is disgusting. The building smells at all times. Inside the halls and inside the units. You will smell other people's food, marijuana, and cigarettes inside your unit and in the halls most days. This issue has affected our health and the health of our animals and has taken a toll on my mental health. This is not a non-smoking building even tho is says so in the lease agreement, and don't expect management to solve any actual problems about that. Eddie Quiroz (the
New management, a large investment firm owning thousands of units across the US, took over a few months ago and things have massively deteriorated. Maintenance takes WEEKS to respond to work orders, if they ever do at all. They seem to have only one maintenance staff member for over 200 units. Cleanliness has decreased across the building. Many "bonuses" you get no longer or barely work, like the barbecues on the roof. They now barely function. Now, the management, in their infinite wisdom, has employed a "trash valet" service, leaving trash cans in all of their windowless hallways. It now smells like animal feces or putrid trash in every hallway. Genius move, really.
New management is in Place as of May 8. I have had the privilege of encountering Eddie who has had many challenges taking this site over, it wasn't the best before the new group arrived on scene and it was getting worse, and now the ship has turned. Fountains are on! Customer service is amazing. I also had the distinct super positive experience with Kaylin in the leasing office. We added someone to the lease with the prior management and it was not the most positive experience, and Kaylin is in now with the new group and everything is extremely positive. What a completely different experience. Come live here! See Kaylin!
Bad management makes for bad neighbors. (Update Nov 4, 2025) I was beginning to think I should update the review with thanks since I hadn't heard the alarm for a while, what I have heard is a new far more tolerable sounder. BUT, today the same old insanity inducing alarm started up again and kept going for 7 hours. I suppose I'll have to file a noise complaint with the city to get positive action. I even stopped by their front door to tell them about the alarm, just after 3pm on a Tuesday and nobody is there. The intercom at the locked front door instructs to dial 000 to get the leasing office, their mailbox is full and can't take any more messages... amazing. (Update July 22, 2024) The audible alarm started sounding last night about 9pm, it's now 10am Monday and still going) (They fi
