Manchester Grand Apartments

Moved there August, 2020. Initially it was okay. By the time I left in January, 2023, it was awful. Roaches, mice, poor maintenance, and safety concerns as people were coming in off the street and sleeping in hallways. The last straw…after numerous unreturned calls to the office, my next door neighbor (RIP) laid deceased for over six weeks and maggots were coming into my unit. Applied elsewhere the following day and left six weeks later. Better than being homeless but the absolute last choice.

I was locked out of my apartment Thanksgiving evening a 9 pm because my key fob stopped working. I was cold and panicked trying to get in so I go go to my home that I use to feel secure in. I wish they would of told me about the malfunction and gave me a key. A little communicate about this would of saved me the anxiety an insecurities. I did get in with but I was standing outside cold for quite a while. There are always minor things that I can let go of But this one is hard to get over. I just want to be able to get in my apartment after a evening with family. But in all fairness I need to mention the kindness and helful the maintenance staff.

I have not been able to enjoy or have peace in my apartment since I moved in it in June because of the people above me with the constant bumping stomping and dropping of things waking me up out of my sleep in the middle of the night all doing the day I have complained to management so many times and nothing being done about it this is real talk I wish I have never moved here for 10 years I live in a building with a lot of VCU students and it was not this bad

Jackie is very pleasant and helpful, the application process was fairly simple and easy to handle. Maintenance team also was professional and helpful.

IN THE BEGINNING, A HICCUP, WITH ALL RESPECT AND I DO KNOW INDIVIDUALS ARE DIFFERENT, AND IT'S A DIFFERENT TIME BUT I BELIEVE IN NO EXCUSES.. IF YOU ARE IN ANY POSITION, A CLEANER, FLIPPING BUGERS, A HOSTESS, BUS OPERATOR, SECRETARY OR SOCIAL WORKER.... ALWAYS BE SUFFICIENT, PROFESSIONAL, EARLY AND 2 STEPS AHEAD. JUST DO YOUR JOB BEYOND THE NORMAL. SOME INDIVIDUALS WORK, ASSIST AT A VERY SLOW,LOW RATE, MILKING, TAKING THEIR TIME WHEN THEY ARE IN A POSITION TO GET THINGS DONE, YET WITH TURTLE LIKE MOVEMENT. SLOW,LOW ENERGY AND IT'S NOT A GOOD LOOK. NOW THE MANAGEMENT INSIDE THE COMPLEX IS BEYOND PROFESSIONAL, VERY ON POINT, ENGAGED WITH ALL TENTANTS AND HAVING A SMOOTH TRANSITION WITH EVERYTHING, FROM FIXING ANYTHING THAT MAY NEED REPAIRS, TO A KIND CONVERSATION, OR JUST CHECKING
