Opinion: The company provides below standard management by not managing contracts well, advising homeowner controlled boards on adequate insurance, recommends unjustified dues increases, doesn’t adjust the capital reserve annually or know how to invest reserves to protect against inflation, doesn’t manage accounts payable or make end of year forecasts of the budget and often is rude and dismissive to residents. They think they run the HOA and don’t work at involving the owners in building a post pandemic community. They may be cheap but the quality of service suffers. Your choice.

I just moved from Turtle Creek. MSC is the biggest joke of a property management company. They don’t do anything. The parking lots stay a mess with leaves or they don’t remove snow. They don’t want to hear any kind of complain. You can send emails until your blue in the face and THEY DONT CARE. You get email saying they are going to do things like clean dryer vents and they never come. It is insane. You pay a huge HOA fee for nothing. This company is so large that they don’t worry about. Bad reviews because they have a place for you to live and that’s what you need. I would think twice before renting somewhere MSC is the management company.

Best apartment property manager in Virginia. Everyone is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Friendly too! The 1212 and 525 are perfect for working professionals and graduate students. Sunrises looking over the creek and river birches at the 1212 are spectacular.

Maintenance can take weeks, even for things as serious as broken pipes, and you will NEVER get your security deposit back. They took my entire security deposit and charged me more on top of that for " hook removal" ( 2 command hooks). Someone will probably comment on this too like " Hey Andre I'm sorry you're not happy, can I help you?", but if they'd answered the phone like that even one of the 17 times I called their office I wouldn't be giving them one star.

While I had an adversarial situation with the leasing company at the time of contact, it turned out well. I think they showed professionalism and respect towards the situation at the time. I still live in a property managed by their firm.
