Makers Row Apartments

My wife and I rented a ground floor unit at Makers Row, and we had a great experience. The location and design of the property are what initially drew us in, but the feature that hooked us was our units entirely cement floors. The structure is a union of minimal, modern, and industrial design elements; suffice to say, our space was breathtaking, and every guest we had over gushed with envy. Our neighboring tenants were all lovely as well. It didn’t take long to become friends with many of them, and our happenstance visits in the courtyard were a treat. For the complete duration of our time here, the owners were generous, fair, and attentive to our needs. It was a privilege renting here, and we would consider leasing again if we move back to Portland.

We lived here for a year and absolutely loved the apartment. Minimal and clean in design, which is very unique for Portland. We had a good relationship with the owner who we found to be responsive to all of our needs. If you want a spacious, elegant apartment that is different from all of the other new developments in Portland, Makers Row is for you.

I lived here for 2 years, and it was my favorite spot that I have ever lived in. The design is clean and modern, but not in a forced way. The concrete floors are such a breath of fresh air, and the giant windows kept my place lit beautifully throughout the day. I was the first to live in the unit, and everything was above my expectations, to be honest. The management is friendly, and it feels like they care and are invested in the tenants. I would have kept living here for as long as possible, but I moved out of state. This is a beautiful spot, it's intentionally designed and well loved.

I lived here for a year recently before life circumstances forced a move. The design and feel of this building is what originally drew me to it. It was always a great feeling, walking down the side of the building into the courtyard and feeling the loud city sort of melt away. Everything's super efficient and cutting edge, from the design of the building itself to the full compliment of energy efficient appliances. They really took care to think of everything. The rent cost was competitive considering the attention to detail and hand-built feel of the place. I feel I got a great deal. The landlords also designed and built the building, so I got special care with any issues that came up, which were few. In a sea of new apartment complexes cropping up across Portland, Makers Row stands out. Unlike the same, monotonous new architechture we see all over the city, it is clear the owners of Makers Row were incredibly thoughtful and creative when designing their building. The apartments are minimalistic, functional, comfortable, clean and durable. The neighbors are all incredibly friendly, and the surrounding businesses are fantastic. The landlords are local, invested in the community, and fair. We love our home here at Makers Row, and so everyone who comes to visit!
