Luxe at Katy Apartments

I had an amazing short term stay at Luxe at Katy Apartments and cannot recommend this property enough. I stayed for about two and a half months, and from the very beginning the experience was seamless and stress free. Hortencia was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout my stay. She made sure I had everything I needed and truly went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. The apartment itself was beautifully decorated, thoughtfully furnished, and move in ready. I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Luxe at Katy was disappointing from start to finish. Maintenance was one of the biggest issues. Requests often took forever to be addressed, and when they finally showed up, it felt like the goal was to patch things up just enough to stop complaints — not actually fix them. Basic issues like leaks and faulty appliances were never handled with urgency. The management team was another headache. They talk a lot about “luxury living,” but residents are treated like they’re disposable. The tone from the office was often dismissive and manipulative. Parking can be a mess, too — guests and residents constantly competing for spots. For what they charge, you’d expect far better service, upkeep, and professionalism. Waited an entire year long lease to finally drop a review on this place. Luxe at Katy has been the most disgusting place I’ve ever lived. The pest issues are insane and every night I’d have to take it into my own hands to exterminate 20-30 pests a NIGHT. For months me and my spouse would email and call management constantly about this issue and unfortunately it was never resolved. It came to a point where the management didn’t believe us and came down with a pest control team to see our living conditions just to find out we kept our unit spotless. Constantly cleaned any mess daily to prevent pests from appearing but they just continued showing up like they paid half the rent. Office staff is Hortencia, Jessica, Pollet and Sara are amazing! And of course the maintenance staff is great. They are quick to handle things and very friendly and helpful to the residents. The amenities are amazing and there are always activities for the residents too. The location is amazing as it’s easy access to anywhere to need to go. It’s by far the best.

After a year at Luxe at Katy, I unfortunately have to leave a very poor review. The issues here go far beyond normal apartment problems, and management consistently failed to address them. I cannot recommend moving in until there is new management and major improvements. Pest problems: The complex has a serious German roach issue. I keep a clean home and never had this problem at other Houston apartments, but here I saw roaches daily coming from cracks and behind appliances. I presume it is from a poor neighbor not keeping their environment clean and they are migrating between units. They sent an exterminator once, but the problem never improved and I eventually had to go the DIY route. Standing water outside the units also attracts gnats, which end up inside.
