Brandon is absolutely amazing, and made the entire move in process go smoothly. Julie on the other hand is horrible! Like, she shouldn’t have a job where she interacts with other people, horrible! I moved to Luxe at Alewife sight unseen and was told I would have light cabinets. Not only are the cabinets not a light color, they do not match. I’m left with a brown base color and some off green cabinets. Julie was dismissive towards my concerns, rude and disrespectful. I see now why she has so many negative reviews. Asking for cabinets that match is a reasonable request. I have already signed my lease, so it’s too late. But I would not have moved here!

We lived at Luxe at Alewife for several years and endured repeated water damage, mold exposure, and corporate management that showed zero compassion for our family—including our infant daughter. THE PROBLEMS: 1. Poor construction. Our living room ceiling leaked five separate times over four years. Sections were removed on three occasions, the last requiring mold remediation. Each time, management applied temporary patches rather than fixing the underlying structural problem. We were told other apartments also had chronic water intrusions, speaking to poor construction quality for a building claiming to be "luxury." Several reviews cited frequent fire alarms—our experience too. This problem was barely acknowledged by Luxe and not definitively addressed. 2. Management's lack of compassion:

I am updating my review because the management team has changed and it’s nothing like what I experienced in 2020 when I wrote my original review. There are some nice people in the management office, but the boss there, Julie, is not that friendly. They charged me for assigned parking while we applied for unassigned parking, so we used unassigned parking for over a year while paying for assigned parking without knowing it. When we found out, the office admitted but their boss didn’t and she wouldn’t refund the extra money we paid. Very bad experience in the last two months. Other cons: 1. frequent alarms, sometimes at midnight or realty morning; 2. Noise from the train if you’re facing the railway; 3. The hardwood floor looks cheap and there may be gaps between panels. Btw, here’s my orig

I really wanted to love Luxe. I'll start off with the good since there isn't much. The cleaning and sanitation staff are so kind and it was a pleasure to see them in the morning. At first look, this complex is wonderful with incredible amenities. The pool was great (although it only gets sun for around 3-4 hours due to its positioning and the Commuter Rail passes by frequently and makes SO much noise). The gym was nice but it can get pretty full and they should have more machines. The theater room had a projector that did not actually work when used and we were double booked once. Booking the theatre room was always a hassle since you have to contact the office directly instead of having a streamlined way to reserve amenity spaces). You also have to pay $300+ to book the community lounge.

Great place to live! The new management has been amazing with everything throughout the pandemic and slightly before that when we first signed on. There are countless things that I was pleasantly surprised by that they do for you here, while only a handful of areas of improvement. They get all the important stuff correct and the only people that get towed are the ones that treat the building like Thursday night frat house
